Client-side music streaming software (like Airtunes)
Hello,
My linux box is connected to my stereo. I would like to be able to stream mp3's from my laptop to my linux box (the way that ITunes streams to Airport Express/AirTunes). Originally I just uploaded all of my music to my linux box, and used a web interface to control the playlists from my laptop. After experimenting with various web front-ends, I couldn't find any software that managed the playlists well. Also, I only use my linux box as a server not a desktop, and so there was always the extra step of having to copy all of my music from my Windows laptop to the server. Does anyone know of any software I can use to accomplish this? Thanks! -Laura |
airport express
Laura,
I actually have not been able to get it to work... But 'JustePort' is an application that should serve audio files to Apple's Aiport Express http://www.nanocrew.net/blog/apple/revairtunes.html Peace, D |
