Clearing BIOS password with gdb?

I came across this article:

http://www.go4expert.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114

while looking for a way to clear my BIOS password. I wonder if this is possible with gdb? I've had no luck by trying "output x70 2e" and "output 70 2e", the former asks for a symbol table to be loaded.

Why don't you just use the button/jumper on the motherboard? Only some corporate board (voluntarily) miss that feature. And I think you need to turn off memory protection to play with gdb. But if you are not trying to hide us that you are performing a remote attack, in all other scenarios, you have access to the board.

The best and easiest method: Cloce OS and shut down the electricity power of computer. Open your computer box, take out the cmos battery from the mainboard. Then the bios password will be reset to blank. Put it back after a few minutes.
