clamd being killed

Hi

Did any one face an issue with clamd being killed?

It goes dead in 30 - 45 mins. I checked logs on the server and i couldnt find a clue. No entry for causes of it being killed !!
Hi,

I sorted out all permission related things--logs, run, db
Even upgraded clamAV (devel, clamav, clamd). After upgrade it worked for couple of hours and then again it crashed.

On another server i found the same issue but there i could see memory allocation issue and that caused it to crash. I had to reboot the server and now its fine. Will know how much better only as the day progresses.

My clamav installations are scheduled to update (only DB) itself on daily basis (freshclam)

Any one have overcome this issue before? help me with inputs

Hi,

I've seen this before, but the cause was a corrupt database after freshclam did its thing.

Are you sure there is no mention of this anywhere in the log files?

Hope this helps.

You can edit clamd.conf and setup logging
