Cisco VPN problem in mandrake 10.1
Hi,
I am a new comer to Linux. After having serious virus issues with Windows, thought of coming over to Linux. I have installed Mandrake 10.1 Kernel 2.6.8.1-12mdk and was able to configure required softwares. I was able to install the Cisco VPN Client software too.
I use a static ip internet connection, and have configured it in my Control Center, and internet works fine. Now, when I start the VPN Client as,
vpnclient connect XXXXXXXXX
It starts off and gives the message:
Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 4.0.4 (B)

Running on: Linux 2.6.8.1-12mdk #1 Fri Oct 1 12:53:41 CEST 2004 i686

Local LAN Access is disabled
Now, from here, if I try to visit the URL that are supposed to work, it just doesnt. After about 5 minutes, it gives host cannot be found.
The same cisco vpn client works fine in Knoppix 3.2, ELX Linux 4.0 etc. Do I need to tweak something to make the Cisco VPN show the webpages? If I ping to the client address, it does show the ping, but remember that I use static ip. Is this a cause for the problem? Can anyone help please?
