Just moved to Linux (4 weeks+) and it would be great to have my cisco VPN working.
1st I tell what I did:
- Downloaded

- Untar + install
- Try to start it
OK. Install IMO was not fully successfull. It was saying some warning about vpn_directory or so. Otherwise "./vpn start" work well with some warnings:
Starting VPN services: modulesWarning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.20-8/COMPvpn/vpn mod will taint the kernel: no license
See xxxxx/#export-tainted for information about tainted modu les
Warning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.20-8/COMPvpn/vpnmod will taint the kernel: for ced load
Module vpnmod loaded, with warnings
QUESTION 1) Should I mind?
Going further. I have a certificate file received from my company. On my notebook with XP I imported and I can easily connect.
QUESTION 2) But how the hell can I start such VPN connection under Linux?
The documentation is really bad.
I have RSA authentication but it should come after the connection.
Any help would be apriciated. FYI: RedHat 9 with cable net.
