I am attempting to use my Cisco wireless adpater. I currently have the KWifiManager wireless utility, however when attempting to configure it to connect to the Linksys router it does not save the settings. I have also configured my wireless.conf file with all of the paremters required by any instructions that I can find and it still does not pull an ip address. I have gone as far as disabling the wep on the router to see if the card will pull an ip address from a non-secure connection and still no ip. I went to cisco.com and downloaded there manager and when I attempt to install it I receive the following message in a term

I have attempted to find these lib but I am having a hell of a time finding the exact ones.... I don't really care how I get this to work, I would just like to get it to work!

I admit that I am still very green in the use of Slackware 10.1 so please, if you respond to this posting be very descriptive in the steps that you outline.

First, I am a tech, I work for a large Helpdesk as a third level analyst... The one thing I hate is people that don't try to find the answer themselves... That is why I have been hacking at this for a week before asking anyone.. I don't want to sound stupid. Unfortunately I support Windows and although it pays well I would love to get away from Windows on my personal PC's and Laptops, hence the reason for installing this Slackware on my laptop. I really appreciate your help.. It moved me forward on this problem... If you see any future posts from me please know that
1. I am new and admit it
2. I am a fast learner and have a geniune interest in using and supporting the Slackware product.

Note: I downloaded the software for free and then sent in my $40 for the cd's to support the makers.
