This is a new install, no?
Have you been following the amd64 handbook? http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handboo...book-amd64.xml Did you use the latest stage3 tarball and latest portage snapshot? I am not sure what you have and have not done. |
Correct, it's a new install.
I have followed the amd64 handbook, used the latest stage3 and tarball, yes. I'm currently at stage 9, installing the first packages. Right now I'm thinking about starting over, in case I missed something. |
