Chromium unusable

Hi. I run Slackware 14.2 64, if that matters. I installed Chromium some time ago so that I could access my church's bulletins sent through MailChimp. Anyway, I got a new newsletter from my church last night. Every time I start up Chromium to go download the pdf for the bulletin, Chromium starts, and the display is all messed up. I've been trying this all afternoon today. At this moment, the easiest way to describe Chromium is as a blank window with no visible controls in it. I am attempting at this moment to reinstall chromium, but I have a feeling that even if it (ever) finishes building it will not help. Can anyone here offer any advice as to how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance to all who can offer advice in dealing with this issue.

I installed chromium through sbopkg. I'm not sure what version of chromium I'm currently installing, but I'll let you know when it finishes. It's been on [20466/20467] for a really long time. Did I mention that this machine is dying?

I don't know how, but Chromium is opening correctly now and I was able to get my bulletin downloaded. I guess this one gets marked [WORKSFORME]
