Chrome Browser Error: Sorry something went wrong

We are getting metioned error, "Sorry, something went wrong." in Chrome 49 version in android phone. What could be the reason for this error and what are the resolution steps for the same?

We have checked issue occurs on web version as well, we tried it on
chrome 50 version. In all other browsers it is working fine.

Regards,

Might want to ask your question over at Android Questions.org.

Does the browser offer you to give any feedback when this happens? And do you? Does it allow any other options such as debug?

I'm assuming this happens on a certain web site only?

I've seen stuff where a browser fails and usually it's because I've gone to some very obtuse web site I normally would not go to and to see something and I find that I have to free up scripts to see content where eventually I'm breaking my rules of blocking scripts and allowing ads. At which point two or three things happen, (1) my browser locks up or crashes outright, (2) I realize I block scripts and ads for a reason, and (3) it's usually something cute, funny, or stupid that a friend had sent me as a joke or other reason and thus I realize it's not overly critical and I reply to their email saying "Couldn't load it, sorry."

What I'm saying is that usually it's a one-of which is avoidable. I'm guessing this is not the case for you, however if it is important, I'd use those alternate browsers and check for Chrome updates to see if they eventually resolve this.

That error message means what it says, something went wrong. It's a fallback, when chrome doesn't know what went wrong, only that something did. It could be almost anything. My first thought would be a malformed webpage that doesn't comply with standards, but that's far from certain.
