Post Cheops-ng and Debian 6

Hello Folks.
I want to install "Cheops-ng" on my debian 6 but following error appeared :

"checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install"

Any idea to solve it?

Cheops-ng : 20 Oct 2005 http://sourceforge.net/projects/cheops-ng/files/
http://cheops-ng.sourceforge.net/download.php

Cheops-ng is too old for Debian 6 : No "gnome-libs" version 1.4.2.
I.e. no Gnome1 "compat 1 packages" any more.
Package names used to be : libgnome32, libgnome-dev etc.

Cheops-ng is too old for Debian 6 : Means that you cannot use it.

No Gnome1 "......... packages" any more :
Means that nobody will find those packages for Debian 6.
