checklist for caching nameserver
 

hi there

just wanted to check ou the steps that i am carrying out for my caching nameserver

i have installed bind and caching nameserver on MDK 10.1

added this to resolv.conf

search <domain name>
nameserver localhost
nameserver <DNS of ISP> //is this required??

checked out the default named.ca and named.local file.
so i need to make some changes there too???


then i have set
nameserver <ip of DNS server>

in resolv.conf of client


what more???
