Is there a program that lets me check my Yahoo! Mail through POP3 on Mandrake Linux 9.1? I've tried MrPostman, but I don't like it. I can't get Yahoo! Pops to run as a service(although help for that would be nice, too). Help/suggestions?
try evolution, kmail, mozilla mail etc..
just type in the necessary info like the server address, user name etc.. and then the messages of Yahoo should be in the INBOX.
P.S.: if you are having an account of Yahoo! with the .com domain, then POP3 service is a paid service.. .co.in doesn't support POP3. only webmail.. only yahoo.co.uk supports free POP3 service.. Hence, check if your account satisfies the criteria for using Yahoo's POP3 service..
FetchYahoo is a Perl script that downloads mail from a Yahoo! account to a local mail spool. It downloads all parts and attachments and then deletes messages unless requested not to. It can also forward messages and repeat with a given interval.
this reply is kinda dated but then again so is the original post and i wuz just cleaning out subscriptions
