checkgmail popup links not working after installing ubuntu7.04

my checkgmail worked perfectly in edgy but since i have installed feisty the links that show up in the popup notifier (like "mark as read" and "archive") do not work. if i click on them it will tell me it is doing them, but it won't actually do it.

the program does work at checking to see if i have email and notifying me of that so i know it is connecting to my emailbox.

any ideas how to fix this?

so i seem to have figured out why it isn't working... it doesn't like xgl/compiz. if i turn off my 3d desktop it will work fine. anyone know if this is possible to fix so that checkgmail works with compiz?
