Question chat client

I liked Trillian when I used to use Windows and am starting to miss it while using GAIM. There's no way I'd go back to Windows, so is there something comparable to Trillian? I don't need multiple clients (AIM, ICQ, IRC, etc), only need to connect to AIM. I would just like a little nicer interface and better usability. Any clients come to mind?

jabber looks like it's its own protocol and everything unless you can connect to a server with a 'gateway'. That's actually not what I'm looking for. I would like to connect to the AIM service, but in a better looking (and more functional) client than GAIM is. Gaim is the best I've seen so far, which isn't saying much..:-/

If your just using it for AIM then GAIM is probably your best bet and choice as GAIM is actually developed by the ones who develop AIM for AOL from my understanding.

I use GAIM, but Kopete "looks" a bit better from what I've seen. Need the KDE libs though
