characters as squares in mozilla
Hey all,
I use Mozilla 1.4 and can usually browse the web pretty well, but all international characters and others like the reserved sign and some quotation marks come up as squares with numbers inside. I have tried using character coding as Unicode (UTF-8) and also tried auto-detecting but to no avail. International characters come up perfect in Konqueror and Netscape 7.02, and doesn't make sense as to why it won't work in Mozilla. I use the latest version of Dropline Gnome, and am running Slackware 9.0. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. ~icy |

Actually I'm using the default Unicode fonts, with webpage fonts having priority. I'm just wondering if I have to install a package, because I remember in previous versions of Mozilla not having to install anything.

It still sounds like a font problem to me... Are you running XFS?

I'm not sure. Know a way for me to check? I feel like such a newbie asking that...=(
