changing the KDE Splash screen?
do u guys know how to change the KDE splash screen at the start. i got the ones in Connectiva Crystal-Classic and i would love to use em.

Perhaps /usr/share/apps/ksplash/pics That's where they are on my Mandy 9.
|
in mandrake 8.2, you can change the user's splash screen by changing the pics in /home/"user"/.kde3/share/apps/ksplash/pics...that's how i did it for my account, but for root or others the files are elsewhere, perhaps in your /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksplash directory somewhere...yeah.

the /usr/share/apps/ksplash/pics works on mine. that would be cool if i could set different splash screens for different logons. but theres only me on this pc. thanks guys.
|
all nice and peachy, works great. (thanks kde-look.org) now...
how do I change that annoying grayish blue color in the background of the splash before my desktop actually loads? |
hmm.. anyone have any ideas?

All Pictures and Backgrounds you will see are splashes.
