Changing the file selector dialog in Mandriva 2005

I set up my system with only Gnome installed, then I installed KDE which is what I use. (Why would I do it that way? Read on.) However, all but a couple programs still give me the Gnome file selector dialog. It has improved, but I'd still rather use KDE's. Does anyone know if I can change the default file selector dialog with Mandriva 2005? (Or any version, for that matter...)

Ok. There will be questions:

Why would I install Gnome when I want KDE?
I want KDE 3.4, and Mandriva 2005 comes with 3.3.2. When I tried to upgrade after the first time I installed Mandriva, the older version of KDE caused all sorts of ugly configuration problems. It shouldn't have conflicted, but it did. Installing without KDE, then installing the 3.4 RPM's fixed all that.

Why don't I just use KDE 3.3.2?
3.4 fixed a bug that had been affecting me for a long time. (I have old posts about it.) Besides, who wants to go BACK a version?

Why would I use KDE at all?
I like eye candy. So sue me.
