Angry Changing Icons

I got Xine installed along with a few other little things. Synaptic is great btw. I just wanna change the icon for Xine cause I made a shortcut of sorts on my desktop to it. When I try it doesn't work can someone help me out?

the easiest thing i can think of is to check the permissions of the shortcut and see who owns it. do a chown on it as root if the owner isn't your user.
