Changing Gnome controls theme doesn't change look.
Whenever I change the "Controls" theme in Gnome, (Theme Preferences/Theme Details, the "Controls" tab), everything still looks the same. The only thing that changes is the window backgrounds and the size of the controls. For example, if I change to a theme like "Smokey-Blue", the lined background appears and the buttons make themselves a little taller, but no other visible change occurs. The actual button/scrollbar/check-box/etc look stays the default. This problem is isolated to my account. I tried logging in as other users, and everything behaves as it is supposed to. The only theme that seems to work is GnoMetal. It works fine on all user accounts.
I'm using Mandrake 10.2, and I find the Mandrake default button look (Galaxy) intolerable. I'm using Gnome 2.8.3.
Any help would be much appreciated!
