changing distro zorin to mint


hello whats the best way to change from Zorin to Mint 20 plus continue to use wine many thanks dave c

that depends on your configuration. You need to know what is the best solution for you. If you have your own home partition you can keep it, otherwise you need to recreate it too. Anyway, make a good backup before start.
If you wish you can install mint 20 to replace the old OS.

Best Way
1 Save your home folder and all it's subfolders, and any other folders you may have created

2 Install Mint 20 - use the whole disk

3 Install Wine

4 Copy your save folders back to your newly installed Mint 20

Yes, except don't use the whole disk on point 2. Make a / and a /home at least. Using a seperate /home he would not need to do anything else than just installing mint to / and using the already existing /home. But yes, for security purposes, do make a backup of /home.
