Changed Resoulation Key board went dead
I'm running Novelll SUSE Enterprise Server 10.0. And I'm using KDE with my resolution set at 1024 x 768. I changed my resolution to 800 x 600 and restarted my system. Now when the GUI login comes up my keyboard is dead my mouse will work but not the keyboard. Can't type login name or pass word. I can restart the system and choose Fail Safe Login and when I get a terminal window I can login as my self or as root. How can I use the terminal and change my resoulation to something else? Please be very specific as I have only used the terminal very, very little.

Thanks. Is there a resoulation that will just about work for any thing? And how do I fire up yast?

You type yast<enter>
Not sure about the case, been a while since I used SuSE.
You could try YaST, or other combos, maybe start typing
Y and press tab twice to look for valid completions, do
the same for a lowercase y ...

As for the safe: that'll depend on your hardware, I don't
think there's a globally safe setting (unless maybe plain
old VGA (640x480x16) does it).
