Changed network settings, Mandrake won't load

Hey everyone,

I just upgraded to cable internet. When I changed my network settings from dial-up to LAN, I restarted. Unfortunately now, Mandrake will not load. It gets hung up "loading hsf." Can someone help me resolve this problem? Thank so much.

Dist: Mandrake 10
Network Card: 3Com
Cable Modem: WebSTAR

hsf is the driver for your modem right?

Maybe you can try to boot from knoppix and remove your modem driver(or alter the file responsible for loading the driver, dont know mandrake secicfics).
