change style of console?

I didn't know what I should search for, therefore I ask the question straight away.

I want to change the style of my console (X-Terminal from KDE). I'd like to have the commands that I enter in a different color than the output. Is this possible at all in the KDE terminal? If not, which other terminal would be best to use for this?
