Change nautilus behaviour of displaying file names
 

Nautilus has the ability to display upto 256 characters in the filename . This is nice but I would like to change this. I have files with long file names. In the icon view, this just shows 2-3 rows of icons and I have to scroll a lot.

Is there a way to limit the chars displayed in the icon-view.
