change nautilus appearance
When I click "Computer" or "Home" I get a nautilus window that has now sidebar, path bar, and opens a new window whenever I click a window. But when I click the File Manager icon on the top bar (this is GNOME btw) I get a nautilus window that has everything I described above and doesn't open a new window for each folder. I prefer the second setup but there doesn't seem to be an option for it when I click "Home", how do I change it? (Note: I know they're both nautilus b/c the help> about onboth of them says nautilus)

Use the gconf editor (if I remember well, it was in the configuration menu), find the nautilus configurations and there's an option there to change Nautilus default behavior.
I remember this problem very well, but I can't find the specific option now, because I don't have gnome. The option is described in a textbox so you can't miss it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks! I'm set always_use_browser to true, which gave the effect I wanted (oddly, it reminds me a bit of windows, but better)
