Change kde theme & wallpaper from command line or start scripts?

I am wondering if it's possible for me to change what theme and wallpaper kde loads based on arguments I give it from the command line or in the xinit startup script.

What I would like to do is keep my default desktop looking nice with a nice wallpaper and a theme with a lot of eye candy, but then have a profile that the vnc server would use that has just very simple solid colors for the background and menus. I would like to make it so vnc has to send as little information to transmit as possible.

Take a look at ~/.kderc, and ~/.kde/share/config/.

Ok, that's a start.

Any suggestions on how I would get one theme to come up when I startx from the local computer and another when I start the vnc server?
