Change Desktop Resolution over SSH
Hi all,
BACKGROUND
I'm currently using NoMachine's NX server to control my desktop remotely. In the past, I've used RDP with great results (it meets my use case very well), except for it being a Windows-only solution.
One of the major features that made RDP excellent is the ability to dynamically adjust the resolution of the remote machine to look correct on the client. Since I frequently want to access my desktop from other computers on campus (with varying screen resolutions), having this feature is essential to me.
QUESTION
How can I adjust the resolution remotely through SSH? I cannot do it once I'm in the remote session since it crashes the X session and I have to run "kill -9 -1" to reset my user to regain control of my machine.
Thanks,
Ryan
