change architecture for apt-get (debian based linux)

i have linux running on a ps2.
i can't use the debian sites for my apt-get as the one making the linux forced it into searching after a architecture that he called "ee".
now, i don't know how to change this in using apt-get, cause when i add the debian urls to my source list, and i do "apt-get" update it searches on the urls after binary-ee directory
deb stable main contrib non-free
searches after (witch doesn't exist)
and i want it to look into the binary-mipsel directory instead of the not existing binary-ee.

Thanks Nick
