cdrom problems

Hi, I seem to be having problems with my CD Rom. I'm using SuSE 9.1 and it's mounted on /media/cdrecorder. I went to that location and it told me it could not read the folder.

I searched for the error message and people were saying that something might be wrong with automount. They said try mounting it, that didn't work at all.

The wierd thing is when i go on KsCD, I can play my audiocd...

t.i.a.

The audio cd doesn't need to be mounted because that you can play it. Try changing your /etc/fstab

something like this:
/dev/hd* /media/cdrecorder auto umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,noauto,ro,exec 0 0

or this

/dev/cdrom /cdrom iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noexec,noauto 0 0

you can look options in fstab man pages whit this command 'man fstab'.
