DCOPClient / ICE Authority Error when booting as user

My wife's puter (it's always her computer :P) gets this error after she does startx as a regular user, from the text-mode login prompt:
DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
DCOPServer self-test failed.
ICE Connection rejected!

iceauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/shrub/.ICEauthority
kdeinit: DCOPServer could not be started, aborting.

ok... we figured it out!

All we had to do was delete the 3 files: ".ICEAuthority" ".ICEAuthority-c" ".ICEAuthority-l" , and it all worked out!

Thanks guys
