CD Playing Issues
I'm using Mandrake 9.1 and when I use the CD Player, the music doesn't play. It detecs the CD but doesn't play the music.

I don't mean this to sound cynical, but you DID check to make sure your mute isn't on and that the CD volume isn't turned all the way down, right?
I believe it's set up that way by default on install.

does your computer have a cable from the cdrom to the
sound card on the drive you are trying to play the cdrom?
are you saying the cdrom starts playing and counting
seconds, but you don't hear anything?
