Hey, anyone recommend a good software program for burning cds?

Well, every graphical program that is available on the net is a front end to cdrecord tools, and as far as versatility goes I'd suggest eroaster and gcombust, searcn on google.com/linux for the appropriate links

If you are running KDE3 on your system that'd be my vote for the easiest to use without any linux knowledge...
