CD Burning


Does anyone know any CD burning packages that are able to burn mp3s on the fly or know how i can make gnome toaster do it. I'm running redhat 9

When you say 'burn mp3s on the fly' what do you mean? Converting mp3 files to audio-cd and burn on the fly, or burn a data cd containing mp3 files? Either way, k3b should do an admirable job (not too sure about mp3-->audio-cd on the fly, but I believe it does).

i mean make an audio cd from mp3s without having to convert them with a seperate program first

Yeah, give K3B a try. It does the MP3=>WAV conversion for you.

You can get GnomeToaster to do it, just turn off the "Precache Audio Files" option in the prefs (in the "CD Digital Audio" tab).

I opened the gtoaster as root, and the gtoaster application window came up. but then i dont know what to do next.

so can u kindly explain what are the exact steps needed.

i.e., i have to burn the mp3 files as an audio cd, and i have the gtoaster open, now what should i do???
