cant view files on windows share
 

I'm using RedHat 9 and I have a folder shared on windows XP that is right off the C drive example:
c:\myfolder
I've shared and added 2 users that have permissions.
If I login to the folder using user1 (the user that created the folder and shared it, user does not exist on linux box) I can access the files. but if I try logging in using user2 (user exists on windows and linux with same password). It still logs me onto the box to see the shares but when i try to open the folder it says I do not have permissions necessary to view the contents of the folder.

why would this be happening?

im still getting nowhere. any ideas?

i figured it out.
you have to add the user to share and security not just share.
