Cant upgrade firefox 3.0.10

Hi,
I am using firefox(v-1.0) in RHEL4. I have successfully upgraded it to 2.0.0.20.
Now I want to upgrade it to 3.0.10.
I hav downloaded firefox-3.0.10.tar.gzip, and then I hav extrcted it a folder. Through cd command I entered into that directory, and gave
$ ./firefox command.
It gives following error..
./firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libpangocairo-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory..
Any one can suggest me?

rdm59, I've pruned your posts from the Mozilla Firefox Vulns thread. It is beyond me why you would think that an installation/upgrade problem belongs in a thread meant to discuss vulnerabilities. Please don't do that again, as it can be considered hijacking, which wouldn't be a good thing. BTW, I've moved this to Software, so that it may get more appropriate exposure.

Why are you listing tarballs? (tar.bz2 files) Doesn't RH have a packaging system using rpm's and yum?

Thanks for replying..
RH doesnt have yum(I am new to Linux. I checked for yum and I didn't find).
I can go for RedHat update Agent(using up2date command). But it gives following error ...
-------------------------
Problem registering system:

Error Message:
Registration failed: RHN Software Management service entitlements exhausted
Error Class Code: 91
Error Class Info: Registration token unable to entitle system: maximum membership exceeded
Explanation:
An error has occurred while processing your request. If this problem
persists please enter a bug report at bugzilla.redhat.com.
If you choose to submit the bug report, please be sure to include
details of what you were trying to do when this error occurred and
details on how to reproduce this problem.
----------------------------
Therefore I used tarballs...

If your entitlements are exhausted on RHEL, maybe you should consider switching to Fedora where you'll be able to download what you need.
cheers,

Hi,
You are absolutely right about that point...
Ok I will consider your plan..Thanks..
But there should be some way to upgrade. Is it correct?
I will wait for a week and if solution is not getting then surely I will consider your thought.. Now I am satisfied with Firefox2..
Thanks ,

instead of fedora THAT is unless you DO WANT TO LEARN HOW TO FIX LINUX BEFORE,DURING AND / OR AFTER YOU INSTALLING IT
Fedora often requires FIXING for example fedora 11 needed some fixing in order to get the sound to work .currently i am have a "missing .so" issue with kdm , this was because of the last update .
so unless YOU DO want to learn how to fix things when they break ( and they WILL with fedora )

i would install Ubuntu or CentOS5.3 or Debian
--------------
a QUESTION Why is it people tell VERY VERY NEW linux users to install fedora ??????
