cant umount digital camera

i have a fuji 2650 usb digital camera. since it uses xd memory cards it is recognized as a mass storage device and therefore doesnt need a driver. I can mount the camera fine and can also copy the pics over to my laptop and view them with gphoto totally normally. When i use "umount /camera" (/camera is my mount point) i get the message "device is busy" and it wont unmount. i can still shutdown the comp but it bothers me. any suggestions?
