Try entering a url e.g. "lynx http://www.somewebsite.com". Also when asking for help, provide as much info as you can e.g. in this case you should have included details about the distribution you are using, whether the ./configure, make, make install procedure finished successfully and the exact problem including error messages if you get any. Saying "its not working" does not gives us many clues as to whats wrong".

Ok,

When I type lynx itself, it says,

bash: lynx: command not found

I am using Redhat 9.

/configure, make, make install procedure finished successfully without producing any error.

If you have slocate installed, you could try "updatedb" (as root) and then "locate lynx".

Why are you using Red Hat9 anyway? It's ancient :/.
