Cant get ALC850 audio driver to work (gentoo)

I installed gentoo 2004.3 amd64 the other day, and I can't find the driver in the kernel, or online that will work for the ALC850 audio codec.

It is built in on the motherboard, and the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro with a nforce 3 250 chipset.

Does anyone know what driver this will be?

I would not think OSS would work, it is older and most likely wouldnt have it if alsa doesnt.

I got it to work.

The driver is in the kernel as Intel something or other.

I have the same problem, have installed SuSe 64bit version on my comp which has an ASRock K8NFG-SATA2 motherboard and I have tried every Intel driver listed but still no joy
