cant find cdrom?


after trying to install slack 8.0, it says it is unable to find my cdrom...it is an atapi and this should not be a problem...

hmm, you are a newbie ehh?

right, what are you doing to get that message??

at the terminal type

mount /mnt/cdrom

which should work, assuming that your drive is set to mount at that loaction.

look at /etc/fstab to find the exact mountpoint.
