cant compile rtorrent

downloaded the source and tar xzfv cd the dir ./configure and it gives me this error

checking for sigc++-2.0 libtorrent >= 0.8.0... Package sigc++-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `sigc++-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'sigc++-2.0' found

configure: error: Library requirements (sigc++-2.0 libtorrent >= 0.8.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
bash-3.00#

Yo

You have to install the sigc++-2:
ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/libsigc++/2.0/

Just remember to set the right path to "./configure" with "--prefix=".

/R

If you're using Slackware, sooner or later you'll come across slackbuilds http://slackbuilds.org/

You can grab all the packages (and install scripts) you mentioned from there.

Also, install sbopkg - it will make it even easier
