Canon MF4370DN Drivers
Does anyone know where to get a linux driver for this? Canon doesn't seem to make linux drivers at all.... so annoying.

Sadly, Canon is one of the least linux-friendly makers out there. They've made a small effort to provide drivers in the past, but most of their stuff is simply unsupported. I used to have one of their scanner-paperweights myself.
The links in my sig list most of the available drivers. If it's not listed anywhere there, then you're probably outta luck.

I don't see any MF (multi function) printers listed at all. With HP, a lot of times you could use a normal printer driver for their all-in-one's that would (clearly) only drive the printer. For example with a PSC2110 you can use the Deskjet 960 driver to simply print to it. Is there something like this for this Canon?

May be, it can use the MF41xx drivers, like MF4270.?

hmm I installed it and it shows up in my printers... but nothing happens when I print something. When I go into the settings page and click "print a test page", I get
"There was an error during the CUPS operation. 'client-error-document-format-not-supported'.
Is this a sign that the driver wont work? Or is something setup wrong?
I was going to post on the linuxfoundation forum, so I signed up for the linux foundataion, then I went to sign up for the forum, but when I click "submit" it just bring me to a blank page... and I can't post on the forum to ask why? haha

I used this driver:
Canon MF4100 Series UFRII LT ver.1.8
and I can print text fine, but if I try to print a PDF it prints the first line and some weird bars and nothing else. Is this an effect of using the wrong driver?
Also, I've seen "generic" drivers mentioned - I couldn't get one to work, but is this a feasible option?

Which "Pdf utility" are you using for pdf print ?
Adobe Reader, Evince, Xpdf, Kpdf ?
Try a different one .... And if it is from an internet page :
Suggest : print to file to get file.ps,
will sometimes let you have more control.

I was using okular (the kpdf replacement), and as per your suggestion I tried xpdf and evince. All with the same result - the first line prints and then the error light starts flashing and I have to cancel the job.
I printed to a ps file and then tried to print with exactly the same result.
What could cause this?
