I have two computers running Suse 10.0 (updated) and they both don't allow me to type in the Tcl/Tk graphics windows of the software I use. I am student and use programs that exclusively built with Tcl/Tk and is right now hurting productivity. I have reinstalled the system with no help.
I am more comfortable with suse 10.0 because thats what all computers I work on run and would like to keep it simple. Please let me know if you had similar problems and how it was fixed.
A total shot in the dark, but does your keyboard work in other applications??
If so, is your numlock key on? I've seen this on some AIX systems at work...you can bring up a window, but won't be able to type in it, if the numlock is on.
No numlock didnt make a difference. In one of the software I use there is Tcl/tk window and a another window. I can type in the other windows but not on tcl/tk

Kinda figured it was a long shot. The only time I've seen that before is with the 'smit' utility in AIX, which won't let you type if the numlock is on (???). Sorry I couldn't give you anything else.
