Cannot schedule recordings in MythTv

I am having problems scheduling recordings in MythTv.
I go to the Program Guide, and select a program I would like to record. Most iportantly, I change one of the options so it doesn't say 'Do not record this showing' The recording is also set to 'Active'. However, when I check Scheduled Recordings, nothing shows up, and nothing is obviously recorded. Not sure why this is.
If I check the 'record' table in the 'mythconverg' database in MySql, the record shows up here!

Any idea what the problem might be?

OK, I started MythTv from a console to see some debugs. This is what I get:
QDateTime::fromString: Parameter out of range
DB Error (ProgramList::FromProgram):
Query was:
SELECT program.chanid, program.starttime, program.endtime, program.title, program.subtitle, program.description, program.category, channel.channum, channel.callsign, channel.name, program.previouslyshown, channel.commfree, channel.outputfilters, program.seriesid, program.programid, program.airdate, program.stars, program.originalairdate, program.category_type FROM program LEFT JOIN channel ON program.chanid = channel.chanid WHERE program.chanid = AND starttime < AND endtime > GROUP BY program.starttime, channel.channum, channel.callsign, program.title ORDER BY program.starttime, channum + 0 LIMIT 1000
Driver error was [2/1064]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to execute query
Database error was:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND starttime < AND endtime > GROUP BY program.starttime, channel.channum' at line 1

So, it looks like there are some problems with the database driver! I will try to look into this later since it's getting late now. Anyone else having this problem, let me know how you fixed it so I don't have to spend time on this

Thumbs up Solved

Not sure what I did last nite since I wasn't able to recreate the DB error today. However, I was able to solve the problems with not being able to record.

I had not set 'Input Connections' (Option 4) in the mythtv-setup. This should be set to the video source I had created in the previous step in the setup.
