Didn't worked for me tried many a times and by various method but only
Code:
sudo scanimage [-options]
works nothing else. And each time I give the print command I have to plug out the usb to make scanner work again.

Ok after extracting the deb I felt it is for Ubuntu 12.04 so I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my old system and boom its working on it finally. The scanimage version of it is 1.0.22 . Now how to make it work on current system.

Got the solution, remove kyocera files from udev folder provided by installation package and it will work like charm.
