Cannot raise some channels in alsamixer
 

Hi,
I've installed Slackware 10.1, and have been trying to work out the problem with my sound for about a week! Here is a thread regarding my earlier problems. Anyway, now, everything seems to be in perfect working order, except i can't raise the volume of some of the channels in alsamixer. I can mute/unmute them but they just stay at the bottom and refuse to go up when i press up/down. The offending channels include: Master, PCM, Surround, Line-In, and a whole host of others.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
