Cannot Open 64-bit Applications After Making a wineprefix for dotnet40 and Installing it with winetricks

I was trying to install .NET 4.0 for a 64-bit application that I presume will go into the ~/.wine-64 folder. I have followed this tutorial on how to install dotnet40 with winetricks as it required wine to be 32 bit and so I created the prefix and installed .NET 4.0 into it. But now I can't run the installer for the program I originally needed .Net 4.0 for. Nothing shows up when I click the installer, not even the mouse changes icons. Winecfg doesn't show the application settings I put on the installer as well. I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me in the right direction as I have some other programs that I have installed into the ~./wine folder that I do not wish to remove. Thank you for your time.

I think .Net is intended to be used for windows.
