Cannot install Kontakt 4 / 5 on Wine
 

I have a few instruments in Native Instruments Kontakt format and am trying to make it install on wine. But so far it does not work.

The installer hangs at "Installing the native instruments service center" forever.

The logs shows:

When using google, I see people that seem to have made it work, but don't say how.
Do I have to configure wine before in a certain way? I want to use it with wineasio.

Hi there,

Just want to report my experience with it.
It takes a little bit of tweaking but it works with Kontact 4 player, axiom 61 usb, VOXOS and wineASIO driver. VOXOS works amazingly (and loads the library at least 5 times quicker than native Winbloze) and it hooks up to the JACK service (some people reported it doesn't work but in my experience it worked).

I don't know about Kontact 5 though... I've got cineorch and deep percs to try...
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 64 bits by the way, and I did not recompile jack (contrary to popular belief).
