Cannot install Knoda in Redhat9
 

hi all
i am using redhat linux 9. i cannot install knoda("knoda-0.5.5-1.i386") in redhat 9. the following libraries are missing.

libDCOP-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libhk_classes.so.3 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libkdecore-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libkdefx-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libkdesu-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libkdeui-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libkio-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libkparts-gcc2.96.so.2 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1
libssl.so.2 is needed by knoda-0.5.5-1

where can i find all these gcc2.96 libs. it is acually part of "kdelibs" but not included in the package as part of redhat 9.

You downloaded the wrong version. You downloaded a version which was built for GCC2.96, I thnk Red Hat 9 uses GCC3.2. Go find the version with GCC32 or RH9 in the rpm filename, then you are getting to correct version.

I may not be right, I have never used Red Hat 9.
