Cannot install extensions in firefox !

This is for SLED 10 (suse linux).
I have downloaded and installed firefox in my home dierctory. But I cant seem to install extensions. I get a message like:
"Firefox could not install the file at ...
because: Unexpected installtion error
Review the JavaScript Console Log for more information"

This is for well known extensions like adblock.

Help ?

Try creating a new profile. Also you might be better off using the Firefox package from your distros package manager.
