Question cannot get Partimage to correctly back up my linux ,

I cannot get Partimage to correctly back up my linux , to my locally connected drive,

I have a USB 2 HD id like to copy to, but with no success,cant even get the options changed, despite following directions

(Use the up down arrow keys and the space bar to select your options)

very frustrating!! any other pgms you can suggest for backing up linux??

The partimage rescue cd does not have the drivers on it for your usb external hard drive. You could try using knoppix; it has the usb drivers and partimage on the cd but IIRC it will only write to usb external hard drives at USB 1.x speeds(about 1.5MB/sec). I have a backup partition on my internal hard drive that I use for partimage then I boot back into linux and transfer to my external hard drive to avoid the slow speeds.
